secret

right
now,
with
the
new
soundbar
leaking
everything
like
water
from
a
paper
bucket.
Only
a
few
days
ago,

Best
Buy
seemed
to
reveal
that
it
would
have
a
price
of
$999,
and
now
more
retailers
may
have
given
us
the
release
date.

Spotted
by
Redditors,
Belgian
retailers
Fnac,
Vandenborre,
and
MediaMarkt
apparently
had
pre-order
pages
visible
for
the

Sonos
Arc
Ultra
and
the
Sonos
Sub
4,
promising
a
release
date
of
29
October
2024
for
both.

The
pre-orders
offer
a
price
of
€999
for
the
soundbar,
and
€899
for
the
Sonos
Sub
4
–
all
of
which
are
in
line
with
expectations.

be

on

There’s
a
combination
of
product
shots
and
lifestyle
images,
and
they
appear
to
confirm
that
the
soundbar
will
work
with
the

Sonos
Ace
headphones
(not
that
anyone
had
any
doubt
about
that,
especially

since
they
were
updated
to
work
with
the
Beam
and
Ray
soundbars).

exciting
because
it’s
claimed
to
be
the
first
product
with
a
new
kind
of
speaker
tech,

Sonos
appears
to
be
calling
‘Sound
Motion’
based
on
previous
leaks,
but
was
previously
known
as
Mayht
Heart
Motion
before
Sonos
bought
the
company.

These
drivers
are
much
smaller
than
traditional
speaker
designs,
but
can
apparently
deliver
the
same
power
and
depth.
They’re
said
to
be
used
here,
though
we
don’t
know
in
exactly
what
form
yet
–
the
likelihood
is
that
they’ll
provide
much
more
bass
and
mid-range
power
from
the
bar.

Yes,
the
Apple
Watch
series
has
existed
for
a
decade,
and
the
Apple
Watch
Series
10
smartwatch
is
a
special
product.
At
least,
this
is
what
the
rumour
mills
claimed
before
the
company’s
September
launch
event.
Well,
it’s
finally
here,
and
I
have
been
living
with
the
Apple
Watch
Series
10
for
almost
two
weeks
now,
and
no,
it’s
not
entirely
different
from
what
we
expect
from
Apple.

To
put
some
context,
the

iPhone
X,
launched
in
2017,
was
a
10th-anniversary
product
that
refreshed
the
design
language
of
iPhones.
It
was
one
of
the
stepping
stones
of
the
iPhone
design
we
see
today
from
Apple.
On
the
other
hand,
the
Apple
Watch
Series
10
isn’t
minutely
close
to
that,
but
it
is
still
the
best
daily
smartwatch
wearable
money
can
buy.

that

coming

9,
it
took
me
some
time
to
notice
the
differences.

Apple
Watch
Series
10
packs
the
biggest
display
yet

A
bigger
display
that
slightly
wraps
around
corners
looks
better
and
chunkier
than
Series
9,
for
sure.
The
Series
10
also
packs
the
brightest
display
we
have
seen
on
any
Apple
Watch
Series
model
yet.
Apple
claims
that
the
Series
10
is
up
to
40
percent
brighter
when
viewed
at
an
angle
and
offers
up
to
2,000nits
brightness.
It
comes
in
all-new
42mm
and
46mm
sizes
–
slightly
larger
than
what
we
saw
on
the
Series
9
(41mm
and
45mm).
The
fun
fact
is
that
Series
10,
despite
the
bump
in
case
size,
is
marginally
lighter
than
Series
9.
The
Aluminium
(GPS
+
Cellular)
model
we
are
reviewing
weighed
35.3
grams
compared
to
39
grams
on
Series
9
(same
finish).
This
is
the
case
across
the
range.

Watch
is
available
in
Aluminium

Jet
Black,
Rose
Gold
and
Silver

Apple
has
gone
a
notch
above
this
time
to
ensure
the
Series
10
looks
like
a
major
upgrade
and
ships
the
biggest
display
–
even
slightly
bigger
than
the
Apple
Watch
Ultra.
Compared
to
older
models,
the
Series
10
offers
up
to
30
percent
more
screen
area
(compared
to
the
Series
6).
What
does
the
additional
screen
real
estate
offer
is
an
additional
line
of
text
on
apps
like
Mail,
news,
or
messages.
Compared
to
the
Series
9,
it
was
easier
to
type
on
the
Series
10.

Apple
ditched
the
stainless
steel
case
this
year
for
a
lighter
titanium
case.
But
that
also
means
boring
colour
choices.
If
there’s
one
department
where
Series
10
slightly
disappoints,
then
it
has
to
be
the
colour
options.
The
Series
10
comes
in
Jet
Black,
Rose
Gold
and
Silver
in
Aluminium
case
while
Slate,
Gold
and
Natural
in
Titanium.
All
of
them
are
slightly
boring
choices,
in
my
opinion,
except
for
the
Jet
Black,
which
we
got
for
this
review.
It
is
a
stunning
colour
and
adds
to
the
overall
premium
look
of
the
Series
10.
On
the
other
hand,
the
Series
9
offered
Midnight,
Starlight,
Silver,
Pink
and
(PRODUCT)RED
in
Aluminium
case
while
Graphite,
Silver
and
Gold
in
Stainless
Steel
case.

It
also
comes
in
a
Titanium
case
in
Slate,
Gold
and
Natural
colours

I
got
the
carbon-neutral
Sport
Loop
band
with
the
Series
10,
and
it
has
been
comfortable
during
the
review
period.
I
have
been
using
the
Apple
Watch
since
the
Series
6
days,
and
the
Sport
Loop
band
is
one
of
the
best
band
options
the
company
offers,
with
a
velcro
adjustment
strap,
which
makes
it
for
daily
wear.
The
Milanese
loop
is
also
fantastic
for
daily
wear,
but
that’s
only
available
with
a
titanium
case.

The
Series
10
comes
with
an
upgraded
LTPO3
OLED
Always-on
Retina
display.
The
company
claims
the
new
Wide-angle
OLED
is
power-efficient,
allowing
the
display
to
update
once
a
second
and
always
be
on
mode
instead
of
just
once
a
minute,
compared
to
the
Series
9. A
larger
display
gives
an
edge
over
its
predecessors
in
a
lot
of
ways,
including
a
better
screen
resolution,
which
now
offers
416×496
pixels
for
the
46mm
case.

Thanks
to
a
bigger
display,
you
can
comfortably
type
on
the
display
of
the
Series
10
smartwatch

Imagine,
I
could
notice
ticking
seconds
hand
in
the
Activity
watch
face.
However,
quality-wise,
the
Series
10
is
an
extension
of
the
Series
9
as
it
also
sports
a
fantastic
display.

Thanks
to
a
bigger
display
than
the
Ultra,
the
Series
10
is
actually
a
better,
more
practical,
and
cheaper
option
than
the
Ultra
in
its
current
avatar.

that

when
users
need

is

I
could
test
while
testing
the
smartwatch.
The
Translate
app
also
works
smoothly

Series
10
and
gets
added
to
Smart
Stack
if
you
travel
to
a
different
country.
However,
you
will
need
to
download
the
languages
before
using
them.

apnea.
Apple
Watch
models
have
been
supporting
sleep
tracking
for
some
years,
but
the
addition
of
sleep
apnea
makes
it
more
capable.
How
does
it
function?
Apple
says
that
the
watch
uses
its
accelerometer
to
monitor
small
movements
at
the
wrist
during
sleep
that
are
associated
with
interruptions
in
normal
respiratory
patterns,
tracked
by
a
new
Apple
Watch
metric
called
Breathing
Disturbances.
For
tracking
these
patterns,
you
will
have
to
wear
the
watch
regularly
at
night
for
at
least
7
days.

Apple

10’s
biggest
strength
is
accurately
tracking
fitness-related
activities.
It
is
definitely
a
benchmark
for
other
smartwatches

the
segment.

the

good
thing

some

the

highlights
of
the
Apple
Watch

10
is
that
it
charges

in

charge

to

percent
in
45
minutes,
while
the
Ultra
2
charges
up
to
80
percent
in
about
an
hour.

Interestingly,
fast
charging
is
enabled
thanks
to
the
use
of
the
new
metal
back
of
the
Series
10,
which
now
accommodates
a
larger
and
more
efficient
charging
coil.
All
of
this
does
help
enhance
user
experience
on
the
Watch
Series
10.
Purely
in
terms
of
battery
performance,
the
Series
10
offered
me
roughly
20
hours
of
battery
life
on
a
single
charge.
After
this,
it
automatically
turned
on
Low
Power
Mode
at
15
percent.
Extended
workout
sessions,
including
outdoor
walks
and
running
sessions,
reduced
battery
life
to
18
hours.
The
smartwatch
reached
0
to
80
percent
in
about
30
minutes,
while
a
full
charge
takes
about
60
minutes.

In
my
tests,
Series
10
offers
an
incremental
battery
life
boost
compared
to
its
predecessor.

crypto-friendly
decision
amidst
its

legal
battles

per
a
fresh
update,
Google
has
fully
completed
the
integratigration
of
Ethereum
Name
Service
(ENS)
into
Search.
This
feature
was
being
tested
with
select
users
for
a
while
and
has
not
been
made
live
for
Google’s
global
users.
Former
Google
engineer
Nick
Johnson
presented
the
concept
of
ENS
to
the
Ethereum
Foundation
in
April
2016,
following
which,
in
May
2017,
the
first
batch
of
ENS
names
were
minted.

This
development
now
makes
it
easier
for
people
to
search
for
any
name
based
on
the

ENS
domain,
signified
by
‘.eth’.

ENS
can
be
explained
as
a
decentralised
domain
name
protocol.

Ethereum-based
name
domains
are
used

users

you

hot

level
is
maxed
out,
but
I
faced
no
issues
even
when
using
it
this
way
for
a
few
hours.

If
you
still
feel
that
one
speaker
isn’t
sufficient
for
your
outdoor
needs,
Beats
lets
you
connect
two
of
them
together
to
deliver
more
power
in
Amplify
mode
or
better
separation
(and
a
much
wider
soundstage)

Stereo

I
experienced
this
stereo
mode
at
the
India
launch
and
I
must
say
it
is
very
impressive,
given
that
two
speakers
work
with
near-perfect
precision
wirelessly
thanks
to
the
custom
chip.
However,
stereo
mode
only
supports
two
Pill
speakers
at
the
moment,
and
they
need
to
be
in
the
same
room
(not
too
far
apart).

I
loved
separating

mids
do
get
suppressed
by
the
bass,

sounded

Noku
Mana
also
sounded
great
despite

slightly
bass-heavy

bass

is
clear
and
well-defined,
not
muddy
or
boomy.
Listening
to
the
same
track
at
50
percent
volume,
I
realised
how
the
bass
overpowers
mainly
at
high
volume.
At
50
percent
volume,
the
vocals,
along
with
the
mids
and
highs,
sounded
quite
pronounced,
keeping
things
balanced.

What
I
missed
is
some
kind
of
preset
EQ
mode,
which,
at
the
press
of
a
button
(we
need
more
of
those
here),
could
either
cut
down
the
bass
or
boost
it
whenever
needed
or
depending
on
the
occasion.
Regardless,
the
current
sound
signature
will
still
appeal
to
the
masses
quite
well.
The
speaker
can
also
deliver
lossless
sound
when
connected
in
wired
mode,
but
I
did
not
notice
any
noticeable
change
in
sound
quality
upon
doing
so.

Google TV rolls out fancy new AI-generated wallpapers – here’s how to find them

When

Google
launched
the

Google
TV
Streamer
back
in
August,
some
of
its
features
were
promised
for
other
Google
TV
devices
too
–
and
one
of
the
best
such
features
has
now
arrived.
Google’s
AI
screensaver
generator
is
now
rolling
out
worldwide.

As
always
with
Google
feature
updates,
the
rollout
isn’t
arriving
on
every
device
simultaneously.
Here’s
how
to
see
if
the
feature
has
landed
on
your
streamer
or
TV,
and
where
you
can
find
the
AI-generated
screensavers.

Google
has
posted

a
new
support
document
explaining
how
to
access
the
feature:

From
the
Google
TV
home
screen,
select

Settings
>
System
>
Ambient
mode.

Choose
what
you
want
to
show:

Google
Photos,
Art
Gallery
or

Custom
AI
Art.

If
you
don’t
see
the
Custom
AI
Art
option,
that
means
the
new
AI
feature
hasn’t
arrived
on
your
device
just
yet.
But
if
Custom
AI
Art
is
there,
you
can
then
choose
from
a
gallery
of
pre-made,
AI-generated
images
or
add
your
own.

You
can
add
new
wallpapers
in
three
ways:
by
providing
a
descriptive
prompt
telling
Google
TV
what
you
want
it
to
create,
either
by
typing
it
in
or
by
using
the
microphone
in
your
remote;
by
using
‘Inspire
Me’
to
generate
something
randomly;
or
by
selecting
a
particular
art
style
and
letting
Google
TV
take
you
step
by
step
through
the
rest.

Early
results
look
very
impressive,
and
if
you
don’t
like
what
Google
TV
has
created
you
can
either
click
on
Edit
to
tweak
it
or
on
Generate
Again
to
create
a
whole
new
image.
Naturally,
there’s
also
a
Save
option
you
can
use
to
store
wallpapers
in
your
gallery,
too.

Zindaginama Review: An Earnest Take on Mental Health That Misses the Mark

Imagine
watching
a
water
bottle
falling
and
your
immediate
thought
is
that
your
best
friend
would
trip
on
it,
hurt
themselves
or
die
in
a
freak
incident.
Or
when
your
hands
brush
past
someone
you
fancy,
instead
of
feeling
the
thrill
of
attraction,
you
withdraw
in
horror —
scared,
panicked,
teary-eyed.
While
these
might
not
be
the
regular
reactions
of
someone
with
a
healthy
brain,
many
amongst
us,
suffering
from
mental
distress
and
anxiety
battle
this
every
day.

This
World
Mental
Health
Day,
Sony
Liv
has
dropped
a
new
anthology
series
with
six
standalone
stories
on
various
mental
distresses
such
as
obsessive-compulsive
disorder
(OCD),
schizophrenia,
eating
disorders,
post-traumatic
stress
disorder
(PTSD),
and
more.

What
makes
this
show
distinct
from
typical
ones
that
touch
upon
real-life
issues,
is
that
it
ditches
cinematic
dramatization
and
information
overload
for
a
realistic
portrayal
of
how
these
issues
affect
the
everyday
lives
of
humans.
The
setup
is
relatable,
and
it
feels
that
we’ve
met
these
characters
around
us.

In
these
six
different
stories
about
mental
health,
we
see
a
corporate
employee
fretting
about
calories,
a
teenage
boy
being
bullied
in
his
village,
and
a
man
cutting
off
his
friends
after
an
ugly
breakup.
While
some
of
the
stories
start
right
from
the
distressing
symptoms,
others
gradually
ease
into
it.

Shivani
Raghuvanshi
suffers
from
obsessive-compulsive
disorder
in
Malika
Kumar’s
The
Daily
Puppet
Show
(Episode
6)

The
show
presses
on
the
commonality
of
such
issues
and
how
easily
we
undermine
the
numbers.
It
makes
a
careful
choice
to
pick
up
stories
across
the
economic
strata,
from
financially
struggling
families
and
middle-class
abodes
to
the
upper
middle-class
and
well-to-do
clans.
Although
the
show
doesn’t
delve
into
the
deeper
details
of
disorders,
with
each
episode
spanning
roughly
half
an
hour,
it
gives
a
fair
idea
of
what
it’s
like
to
live
with
a
specific
mental
health
disorder.

The
story
that
I
found
the
strongest
was
Sahaan
Hattangadi’s
Purple
Duniya.
The
writing
and
the
performances
shine
in
this
unpredictable
tale.
Two
minutes
into
the
episode,
we
see
a
purple
rubber
duck
floating
in
an
apartment,
flooded
with
water,
vibing
to
rave
music.
Okay,
Hattangadi,
you
have
my
full
attention.

We
then
meet
our
actual
protagonist,
Raag
(Tanmay
Dhanania),
a
30-year-old
who
lost
his
job
and
was
dumped
by
his
fiancé
a
few
months
ago.
Since
then,
he
has
isolated
himself
and
doesn’t
pick
up
the
calls
of
his
friends
and
family.
Sounds
dark?
Well,
here’s
the
twist:
he
is
happy,
energetic,
and
super
chill.
He
sees
the
world
around
him
in
the
colour
of
purple —
traffic
lights,
nameplates,
and
even
trucks —
as
he
snakes
through
the
roads
on
his
bike
at
questionably
high
speeds
and
keeps
zoning
out.

Tanmay
Dhanania’s
Purple
Duniya
(Episode
2)
is
an
interesting
representation
of
mental
health
issues
in
modern
times

Throughout
the
episode,
I
found
myself
googling,
trying
to
decode
the
issue
the
episode
was
dealing
with.
The
story
kept
me
invested
throughout
and
surprised
me
towards
the
end.
I
wish
I
could
tell
more,
but
anything
that
I
say
now
would
be
a
spoiler.

My
next
favourite
was
Sumeet
Vyas’s
Caged,
helmed
by
Danny
Mamik
along
with
Hattangadi.
Here
we
see
the
unlikely
bond
between
Vyas,
the
city-returned
son
of
the
wealthiest
man
in
the
village,
and
a
shy
teenage
boy
played
by
Mohammad
Samad

Tumbbad.
The
latter
gets
bullied
around
and
is
heavily
misunderstood
and
lonely.
He
wants
to
study
literature,
but
his
parents
are
forcing
him
to
take
up
medicine
as
a
career.

Mohammad
Samad
has
given
one
of
the
finest
performances
in
the
show

Both
these
characters
are
wrapped
in
inhibitions
of
their
own
and
find
solace
in
each
other’s
company.
The
entire
episode
is
poetic
and
well-written.
Samad’s
performance
is
one
of
the
best
in
the
entire
series.
His
emotions,
inner
struggles,
and
suffocation
resonate
though
the
screen.

Next
was
Shreyas
Talpade’s
Swagatam,
where
he
is
suffering
from
schizophrenia.
He
no
longer
has
a
job,
is
supported
by
his
wife,
and
lives
in
a
constant
paranoia
of
someone
chasing
him.
His
condition
hasn’t
advanced
so
much
that
he
hallucinates,
but
he
can’t
be
left
unattended
and
spends
the
day
with
a
help
group
during
the
day.

Sukriti
Tyagi’s
story
gives
a
careful
portrayal
of
schizophrenic
patients,
treating
them
as
humans.
The
condition
is
portrayed
through
near
visual
trickery,
too.
All
the
scenes
with
Talpade
have
a
dull
yellowish
tint
to
them.
As
soon
as
he
exits
the
screen,
everything
is
brightly
lit
and
lively.
Swagatam
also
excels
in
showing
the
struggles
of
families
of
schizophrenic
patients,
who
suffer
physical,
emotional,
social,
and
financial
tolls.
And
while
the
story’s
momentum
keeps
ebbing,
Tyagi’s
treatment
of
the
subject
is
entertaining
and
informative.

Shweta
Basu
Prasad
has
done
an
impressive
portrayal
of
a
PTSD
patient
in
Aditya
Sarpotdar’s
Bhanwar
(Episode
3)

Shweta
Basu
Prasad
and
Priya
Bapat’s
performances
were
the
highlights
of
the
anthology.
Both
women,
one
from
a
village
and
the
other
from
the
city,
dread
intimacy.
They
cry,
shiver
and
even
go
breathless
at
the
touch
of
the
opposite
gender.
They
play
women
suffering
from
post-traumatic
stress
disorder,
and
their
portrayal
is
one
of
the
best
I’ve
seen
in
recent
films
on
the
subject.
I
wish
their
episode —
Bhanwar —
knew
more
about
what
to
do
with
these
amazing
artists.

Zindaginama
has
good
intentions
but
isn’t
able
to
keep
up
the
momentum.
While
some
stories
will
speak
to
you
effortlessly,
others
will
fail
to
keep
you
invested.
The
latter
ones
feel
like
an
unfinished
job,
with
a
random
slice
of
someone’s
life
being
presented.
Despite
tackling
important
themes
and
lesser-known
aspects
of
mental
health
issues
tactfully,
the
show
falters
in
execution.
Films
and
television
shows
with
social
messages
—
especially
such
sensitive
ones —
need
to
walk
a
thin
line,
balancing
facts
and
information
with
entertainment,
so
they
don’t
seem
preachy.
That’s
how
you
keep
people
glued
while
raising
awareness
about
a
taboo
subject.
Because
what’s
the
point
of
an
informational
show
if
an
ignorant
person
gets
bored
and
turns
it
off?

And
it
doesn’t
help
that
the
quality
of
tone
of
the
six
stories
oscillate
wildly
with
each
episode.
While
I
really
want
to
recommend
a
few
stories
out
of
the
anthology,
the
rest
can
be
easily
skipped.
Nevertheless,
Zindaginama
is
an
earnest
attempt
at
normalising
mental
health
issues
and
humanising
people
who
suffer
from
them,
and
it
deserves
appreciation
for
the
same.
