How World Mobile Plans to Globalise Web3 Wireless Networks

The
potential
use
cases
of
blockchain
technology
appear
to
be
gaining
pace
in
the
telecom
sector.
London-based
World
Mobile
Group
is
a
firm
that
aims
to
globalise
decentralised
Web3
networks.
Founded
in
2018,
the
company
says
its
mission
is
to
deliver
high-quality
web
connectivity
through
a
decentralised
hybrid
network
that
is
12
times
more
cost
efficient
per
square
kilometre
of
coverage.
The
World
Mobile
network
states
that
it
currently
offers
services
in
Zanzibar,
Pakistan,
UK,
and
the
US.

How
World
Mobile’s
Network
Works

The
network,
rather
than
being
powered
by
traditional
telecom
servers,
runs
on
a
blockchain
network.
At
the
time
of
its
launch,
a
layer-2
blockchain
was
created
atop
the
Ethereum
mainnet.
This
blockchain
is
named
the
World
Mobile
Chain
(WMC)
and
its
native
currency
is
the
World
Mobile
Token,
represented
at
WMTx.

“World
Mobile’s
blockchain-based
sharing
economy
underpins
its
unique
connectivity
solution,
where
decentralised
network
infrastructure
is
owned
and
operated
by
the
people.
Whether
you’re
providing
mobile
connectivity
as
an
AirNode
Operator,
processing
transactions
operating
an
EarthNode,
staking
WMTx,
or
mapping
network
coverage
through
the
World
Moble
app,
there’s
a
role
for
everyone,”
the
company
website

said
,
explaining
how
its
users
can
earn
WMTx
rewards.

Users
can
also
win
rewards
by
identifying
and
reporting
weak
network
spots
through
the
World
Mobile
app
and
also
by
managing
data
bundles
and
Web3
assets
on
the
app.

At
the
time
of
writing,
the
price
of
the
WMTx
token
stood
at
$0.2268
(roughly
Rs.
19.05),
showed
data
by

CoinGecko
.

According
to
a

blog

by
DePin
Hub,
“It
(the
network)
uses
a
combination
of
existing
infrastructure
and
alternative
technology
solutions
to
serve
users.
For
example,
in
some
areas,
it
has
tapped
into
‘TV
white
space’
to
send
and
receive
data
via
unused
television
broadcast
spectrums.
In
others,
it
has
adapted
SpaceX’s
Starlink
satellite
internet
service
for
mobile
customer
use.”

World
Mobile
Launches
Blockchain
Infrastructure
on
Base
Recently,
the
World
Mobile
Network
announced
the
launch
of
its
blockchain
infrastructure
on
Base,
which
is
a
Layer-2
blockchain
built
on
Ethereum.
Through
this
step,
the
platform
has

reportedly

closer
to
being
recognised
as
the
most
extensive

Decentralised
Physical
Infrastructure
Network
(DePIN)

in
the
world.

“By
embracing
interoperability,
we
are
not
only
expanding
our
reach
but
also
building
a
thriving
ecosystem
that
will
revolutionize
the
way
the
world
connects.
Together,
we
are
building
a
future
where
anyone,
anywhere,
can
operate
and
earn
from
a
truly

inclusive
wireless
network,”

Microsoft Copilot Updated With AI-Powered Voice and Vision Features; Recall Availability Expanded

Microsoft

is
rolling
out
new
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
features
to

Copilot
,
the
company’s
native
chatbot.
The
tech
giant
is
now
adding
both
voice
and
vision
capabilities
to
the
chatbot,
after
announcing
them
on
Tuesday.
Microsoft
claims
that
the
new
Copilot
features
are
aimed
at
offering
an
intuitive
design
along
with
“speedy
and
fluent
answers”.
The
Copilot
Voice
feature
is
similar
to
Gemini
Live
and
ChatGPT’s
Voice
Mode. Meanwhile,
the
much-criticised
Recall
feature
will
finally
be
expanded
to
all
Windows
Insider
users
this
month.

Microsoft
Copilot
Updated
With
AI-Powered
Features

In
a

blog
post
,
Microsoft
has
shared
several
details
of
the
new
AI
features
coming
to
Copilot.
These
features
will
be
available
on
the
Copilot
app
on

iOS

and
Android,
the
web
client,
as
well
as
the
Copilot
assistant
on

Windows
.
The
latter
will
only
be
available
on
the
Copilot+
PCs,
which
are
currently
powered
by
the
Snapdragon
X
series
chipsets.

Copilot
Voice

With
four
voice
options,
users
can
now
experience
a
hands-free
voice
conversation
with
Microsoft’s
chatbot.
The
company
said
it
could
be
used
for
brainstorming,
asking
a
quick
query,
or
just
to
have
a
friendly
conversation.

Notably,
while
the
feature
will
offer
a
speech-to-speech
experience,
the
company
has
not
highlighted
whether
the
output
generation
would
be
in
real-time,
or
if
it
would
support
an
emotive
voice.

Copilot
Vision

Copilot
Vision
is
also
being
added.
This
is
a
new
way
to
interact
with
the
AI.
Once
enabled,
the
feature
will
be
able
to
see
what
the
user
sees
on
the
screen.
The
feature
also
supports
voice
mode,
letting
users
ask
verbal
queries
about
the
content.
For
instance,
users
can
show
the
AI
a
picture
of
furniture
and
ask
about
its
colour
palette,
material,
and
more.

Since
this
feature
can
be
perceived
as
invasive
to
user
privacy,
Microsoft
has
also
added
several
layers
of
security
measures.
The
feature
is
opt-in
and
will
not
work
till
the
user
explicitly
activates
it.

Even
after
activating
it,
the
feature
currently
only
works
with
a
limited
number
of
websites.
Further,
the
tech
giant
added
that
the
data
processed
by
the
chatbot
will
not
be
collected
or
used
to
train
the
AI.

Windows
Recall

Microsoft’s
Recall
feature,
which
takes
passive
screenshots
of
a
user’s
laptop
or
desktop
and
can
keep
track
of
the
user’s
activity
locally,
is
now
rolling
out
to
a
wider
user
base.
Microsoft
highlighted
in
a

blog
post

that
the
feature
will
be
rolled
out
to
Windows
Insiders
using
Copilot+
PCs
this
month.

For
now,
it
will
only
be
available
on
the
Snapdragon-powered
PCs.
In
November,
the
tech
giant
will
roll
it
out
to
the
AMD-powered
PCs
as
well.

Oppo Find X8 Design Leaked as Live Image Surfaces Online Ahead of Launch

Oppo
Find
X8
and
Oppo
Find
X8
Pro
may
be
headed
to
India
soon.
While
several
details
and
images
of
the
handsets
have
been
leaked
over
the
past
few
months,
live
images
of
the
Oppo
Find
X8
have
been
leaked
online.
Apart
from
these
images,
the
Find
X8
has
also
shown
up
on
some
certification
websites,
hinting
at
an
imminent
launch
in
some
countries.
The
Oppo
Find
X8
series
is
set
to
launch
in
its
home
market
later
this
month.

A

post

on
Weibo
(via
GSMArena),
revealed
what
is
said
to
be
a
photograph
of
the
upcoming
Oppo
Find
X8.
The
phone
looks
different
in
terms
of
design,
with
a
simplified
approach,
compared
to
last
year’s

Find
X7
.
It
appears
to
confirm
details
spotted
in
a

previous
leak

(which
now
seems
to
be
incorrectly
tagged
by
the
source
as
the
Oppo
Find
X8).
While
the
tipster
reveals
no
new
details
about
the
phone
along
with
the
image,
the
device
looks
different,
with
what
appears
to
be
an
Apple-inspired
design.

The

the
live

(which
as
per
the

is

has
flat

with
a
matte-finished
colour-matched

The
rear
panel
is
perfectly
flat
and
the
phone
has
a
circular
camera
module
at
the
top.
The
camera

has
the
Hasselblad
branding
with
the
‘H’
logo
on
it
surrounded
by
three
cameras,
placed
above
and
on
each
side.

It
appears
to
be
quite
different
from
the

previously
leaked
 live
image
which
was
tagged
as
the
Oppo
Find
X8.
The
phone
was
shown
to
have
a
similar
overall
design
approach
but
with
a
square-shaped
rear
camera
module.
A
recently

leaked
image

also
suggested
a
similar
design
highlighting
the
new
iPhone-like
camera
button.
The
Oppo
Find
X8
series
is
also
tipped
to
support

magnetic
wireless
charging
,
but
it’s
unclear
whether
these
will
comply
with
Qi
2
(magnetic)
standards
or
Oppo’s
proprietary
(and
faster)
AirVOOC
Air
charging
speeds.

According
to
a

report

by
GizmoChina,
Oppo’s
Find
X8
has
also
shown
up
on
India’s
BIS
certification
website,
hinting
that
it
could
launch
soon.
The
phone
was
also
spotted
on
Indonesia’s
SDPPI
database,
pointing
to
an
India
and
Indonesia
launch
soon
after
the
China
launch.

The
Oppo
Find
X8
Pro
were
recently

listed
)
India’s
BIS
certification
website
with
the
model
number
CPH2659.
The
Oppo
Find
X8
is
said
to
be
listed
with
the
model
number
CPH2651.
This
also
means
that
both
of
Oppo’s
flagship
Find
X8
series
devices
could
be
headed
to
India
after
the
China
launch.
Oppo
is
expected
to
announce
three
flagship
camera-centric
devices
this
year.
Unlike
last
year,
this
lineup
is
expected
to
include
the
Find
X8,
Find
X8
Pro
and
a
top-end
Find
X8
Ultra.
Or,
Oppo
could
launch
last
year’s

Find
X7
Ultra

successor
as
the
Find
X8
Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Review: Apple’s Crown Jewel?

Alright,
it’s
that
time
of
the
year!
Apple
finally
took
the
plunge
and
went
all
out
on
AI
with
its
new
iPhone
16
series.
Calling
the
latest
iPhones
as
built
for
Apple
Intelligence.
Of
course,
the
company
coined
its
version
of
AI,
short
for
artificial
intelligence,
which
the
rest
of
the
world
uses
for
its
products,
but
this
is
Apple,
so
you
know
it.
However,
one
big
miss
is
these
phones
do
not
come
with
any
Apple
Intelligence
features
out-of-the-box.

We’ve
got
the
new
iPhone
16
series
and
the
Watch
10
model.
I’m
starting
the
proceedings
with
the
all-new
iPhone
16
Pro
Max,
the
biggest
iPhone
in
terms
of
display
and
size
ever
built
by

Apple
.
I
will
jump
to
the
iPhone
16
Plus
and
Watch
Series
10
models
next,
but
those
are
for
some
other
day,
so
stay
tuned
to
Gadgets
360
for
those.

The
iPhone
16
series
is
the
first
set
of
iPhones
built
or
designed
for
Apple
Intelligence.
However,
this
is
probably
happening
for
the
first
time
that
Apple
kept
an
AI-related
theme
for
its
launch
event
in
September

Glowtime

to
highlight
how
the
new
features
change
how
everyone
will
use
iPhones
going
forward
but
missed
offering
those
out
of
the
box.

As
a
heads-up
for
readers,
this
review
talks
about
how
big
of
an
upgrade
the

iPhone
16
Pro
Max

is
over
its
predecessor
in
every
way
possible.
Of
course,
I
will
do
an
in-depth
piece
when
the
latest
iOS
18
update
(read,
stable)
hits
the
new
devices
with
Apple
Intelligence
features.
But
for
now,
let’s
dive
into
the
new
Max,
shall
we?

Practically,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
is

15
Pro
Max

on
steroids.
Why?
Let
me
explain.
If
the
16
Pro
Max
is
placed
on
a
table
with
the
display
facing
downward
alongside
the
15
Pro
Max,
not
many
people
can
figure
out
that
this
is
the
new-gen
model

albeit
if
they
notice
closely.
Design-wise,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
packs
a
host
of
new
things.
Of
course,
the
Camera
Control
is
the
biggest
addition.
Next,
the
bezels
on
the
16
Pro
Max
are
slimmer
than
the
15
Pro
Max.
Last
but
not
least,
the
16
Pro
Max
packs
the
biggest
display
ever
seen
on
an
iPhone
yet.
I
will
deep
dive
one
by
one
now.

iphone 16 pro max review4 physical buttons iPhone 16 Pro Max

Apple
introduced
the
Action
Button
last
year
with
the
iPhone
15
Pro
series

After
introducing
the
Action
button
on
the
iPhone
15
Pro
Max,
Apple
has
added
Camera
Control
to
its
entire
range
of
iPhone
16
models
this
year.

Just
when
we
thought
smartphone
manufacturers
were
moving
towards
gesture-based
controls
for
interactions,
Apple
took
a
different
route
by
adding
another
physical
button.
The
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
packs
the
power
and
volume
rockers
alongside
the
Camera
Control
and
Action
buttons

four
physical
buttons
overall.
While
setting
up
the
16
Pro
Max,
I
intentionally
removed
the
camera
app
icon
from
the
home
screen
so
that
I
could
use
the
all-new
Camera
Control.
However,
my
muscle
memory
led
me
to
the
home
screen
for
the
first
few
days
until
I
realised
the
16
Pro
Max
had
a
dedicated
camera
button.

Once
you
get
used
to
the
Camera
Control,
there’s
no
going
back.
It’s
convenient
and
easy
to
find,
and
the
best
feeling
is
that
it
sometimes
gives
a
nostalgic
point-and-shoot
camera
memory.
The
only
problem
is
that
vertical
photos
or
videos
are
the
new
norm
for
social
media,
such
as
Instagram,
Facebook,
X,
and
other
platforms
like
YouTube
with
Shorts.
For
a
device
like
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max,
holding
the
phone
with
one
hand
and
using
the
Camera
Control
to
frame
your
shot
is
tricky.
You
need
the
second
hand
for
better
framing
your
shots.
Camera
Control
on
the
smaller
iPhone
16
Pro
should
be
easily
manageable.
The
Camera
Control
addition
is
a
neat
touch,
and
it’s
like
a
shoutout
to
all
photography
enthusiasts
to
go
all
out
with
this
one.

If
you
are
happy
using
the
app
on
the
home
screen
to
launch
the
camera
and
want
to
utilise
the
camera
control
for
something
else,
Apple
has
you
covered.
You
can
choose
between
launching
the
Camera
app,
code
scanner,
Instagram,
Magnifier
or
none.
With
future
updates,
Apple
is
expected
to
add
more
third-party
apps
to
the
list.

The
weight
increase
is
minimal
despite
the
screen
size
bump
from
6.7
inches
on
the
15

Max
to
6.9
inches
on
the

Max.
It’s
227
grams
on
the
16
Pro
Max
versus
221
grams
on
the
15
Pro

The
best
part
is
the
weight
distribution.
It’s
even
and
aesthetically
designed
and
can
be
managed
by
one
hand.
However,
people
with
small
hands
will
find
operating
the
16
Pro
Max
with
one
hand
slightly
inconvenient.
I
took
some
time
to
get
used
to
the
16
Pro
Max
despite
using
the
15
Pro
Max
for
almost
a
year.
It’s
funny
that
nearly
a
decade
back,
we
used
to
get
tablets
with
7-inch
screen
sizes
that
had
a
proper
heft
and
thick
bezels.

The
major
changes
you
need
to
adapt
to
during
daily
use
are
in
width
and
height.
Compared
to
the
15
Pro
Max
(height
159.9mm
and
width
76.7mm),
the
16
Pro
Max
measures
163mm
in
height
and
77.6mm
in
width.
As
you
can
see,
the
16
Pro
Max
is
taller
and
wider
than
its
predecessor.

Jumping
to
colours,
the
Pro
models
again
come
in
titanium
shades
this
year.
Desert
Titanium,
which
we
got
for
the
review,
is
the
best
among
the
four
choices
this
year

Natural
Titanium,
White
Titanium,
and
Black
Titanium,
among
the
others.
All
the
colours
look
striking.
On
the
other
hand,
the
iPhone

get
some
really
good
colours
this
year.

iPhone

has
Apple’s
largest

and
packs
the
thinnest

on
any
of
its
products.
Something
that
was
instantly
noticeable
when
I
started
using
the
16
Pro
Max
for
this
review.
Thin
bezels
mean
more

a

More
on
that

The
iPhone

built
with
Grade

feels
solid
in
hands
and
gives
reassurance
in
everyday
use.
At
the
front,
Apple
has
used
the

and
the

reminds
me
of
15

Coming
to
the
display,
Apple
has
fit
its
biggest
display
in
the
16
Pro

measuring
6.9

To
put
some
context,
16
Pro
Max
packs
a
bigger
display
than
the

Samsung
Galaxy
S24
Ultra

(6.8-inch),
launched
earlier
this
year.

The

and
peak
brightness
is
2000nits
(outdoors)

which
we
also
saw
on
the
iPhone
15
Pro

This
year’s
only
change
is
that
the
minimum
brightness
can
now
go
down
to
1
nit,
which
wasn’t
the
case
earlier.
This
means
you
can
keep
scrolling
or
browsing
on
your

without
bothering
others
in
the

while
in

The
iPhone

has
rounded

follow
a

which
looks
good.
Talking
about
the
display
quality,
the
16
Pro
Max
packs
one
of
the
best
displays
you
can
find
in
2024’s
iPhone
models.
In
everyday
usage,
the
16
Pro
Max
display
feels
apt
for
all
needs,
be
it
multimedia,
gaming
or
scrolling
on
social
media.
The
bigger
screen
size
with
thinner
bezels
means
you
get
a
more
immersed
viewing
experience,
and
that’s
about
it.
The
sunlight
legibility
is
excellent,
and
2000nits

is
good
enough

using
the

harsh

During
my

I
tried
everything
from
AAA
gaming
to
streaming,
video
editing,
photo
editing,
and
AI
apps
to
see
how
powerful
the
new
chip
is.
Not
to
my
surprise,
the
16

doesn’t
even
stutter
mildly
anywhere

a
similar
case
was
with
the
15
Pro
Max
(14

and
older
Pro
models).
However,
one
of
the
big
areas
of
upgrade
is
heat
optimisation.
Compared
to
the
15
Pro
Max,
the
16
Pro
Max
cools
down
quickly,
thanks
to
Apple’s
improved
heat
dissipation
setup.

I
also
tried

Ubisoft’s
famous

and
the

was
fantastic.

In
the
performance
department,
the
A18

on
the
iPhone
16

doesn’t
just
seem
incremental,
and
it
makes
the
phone
a
better
device
for
heavy
graphics
gaming
and
video

on
the

Talking
about

about

the

has
a

supports
the

In
my
earlier

I
have
said
that
haptic
motors
fitted
in
the
iPhones
are
some
of
the
best
ones
seen
on
modern-day
smartphones.
The
same
applies
to
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max.
Even
the
loudspeakers
are
amazingly
loud
(but
in
a
good
way).
If
you’re
in
a
medium-sized
room,
you
can
try
the
powerful

and
you

be
disappointed.

iOS

will
remain
an
update
from
Apple
that
will
continue
to
make
headlines
until
Apple
Intelligence
arrives
on
all
new
devices.
One
of
the
reasons
why
the
16

is
in
the
news
is
because
they
launch
with
a
tagline
that
says
“Built

do
not

it

As
I
mentioned
at

I
will
write
another
piece
to
talk
about
all
new
AI
features
in-depth
when
it
hits

The
latest
iOS

brings
a
host
of
upgrades

some
that
were
much
needed
and
some
that
I’m
still
trying
to
get
used
to.
The
Photos

was
one
of
my
go-to
apps
for
pictures
across
devices,
but
ever
since
the
iOS
18
update,
the
new
refresh
has
been
confusing.
What
I
love
about
iOS
18
is
the
new
personalisation
options.
Apple
keeps
adding
to
the
list,
and
that’s
good.
More
options
to
customise
means
more
new

designs
to
play
with.

I
briefly
tried
the
iOS
18

which
ships
with
a
bunch
of
AI
features
and
offers
what
Samsung
has
been
offering
for
months.
Some
AI
tools
I
tried
on
the
beta
release
briefly
were
a
writing
tool
for
improving
writing
and
the
Notes
app,
which
gets
a

for
recorded

Apple
is
bringing
what
it
calls
Genmoji
thanks
to
the
company’s
Image
Playground
app
that
lets
your
creativity
go
all
out.
Then,
the
favourite
camera-related
AI
feature
on
Android
is
called
Erase,
but
Apple
has
rebadged
it
to
Clean
Up,
which
can
remove
distractions
or
objects
from
your
image.
Of
course,
Siri
is
getting
a
whole
bigger
paint
job
and
is
almost
refreshed.
I
will
try
them
out
in
the
final

before
giving
the
verdict
on
who’s
done
it
better.

the

From
a

Apple

The

however,

Next

we

Fingers

The

exciting

big
update
this
year
with
4K
at
120fps
support

what
Apple
calls
its
highest
resolution
and
frame
rate
with
slo-mo.
The
best
part
is
that
Apple
this
year
is
not
forcing
you
to
make
real-time
decisions
on
the
frame
rate.
You
can
adjust
the
playback
speed
after
capture
in
the
Photos
app.
The
addition
of
these
features
makes
on-the-go
editing
wonders.

Bokehs
come
out
amazing,
too,
with
natural
skin
tones
and
no
colour
blowout.
Something
that
iPhones
are
vouched
for.
Macro
shots
also
come
nice.
However,
you
will
need
to
do
some
work
to
make
sure
you
nail
the
shot,
or
else
you
may
end
up
with
a
few
close-ups
with
the
subject
blurred.

The
telephoto
camera
has
also
received
a
decent
update,
and
I
got
some
fantastic
zoom
results.
At
10x
and
15x,
the
16
Pro
Max
manages
amazing
results
with
ample
details.
This
is
the
first
time
I
have
noticed
that
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
did
better
than
the
S24
Ultra
in
some
zoom
shots.

Shots
were
taken
using
an
Ultrawide
camera

The
ultrawide
camera
is
also
capable
and
does
an
excellent
job
in
daylight.
There’s
a
noticeable
upgrade
over
the
15
Pro
Max
shots
in
terms
of
image
details
captured.

Jumping
to
low-light
photos,
there
is
considerable
improvement
in
this
department.
Especially
considering
the
15
Pro
Max
lately
was
disappointing
in
challenging
low-light
conditions.
Below
are
some
night
samples
where
16
Pro
Max
flexes
its
muscle
in
low-light
conditions.

Though
note,
to

the

has
taken
a
slight
hit,
but
this
is
representational
to
show
you
how
well
Apple
has
improved
its
low-light

on
the

natural

The

the
same
as
the

and
we
don’t
see
any
variation
in
that
either.
Selfies
come
out
excellent
with
natural

and
colours
across
different
light
conditions.
The
low-light
photos,
however,
have
a
scope
for
improvement.
Overall,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
packs
a
stellar
camera
trio,
and
you
cannot
put
it
down
compared
to
any
phone
in
the
market.

By
now,
you
may
already
know
that
Apple
is
the
only
company
that
doesn’t
advertise
spec

So,
when
it
came
to
battery

on
the
new

the
only
data
Apple
shared
is
that
it
offers

to
the
15

(and

which

We

and
16

impressed
with
a
respectable
28

33

of

The
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
is
a
capable
smartphone
when
it
comes
to
battery
prowess

Talking
purely
about
battery
performance,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
is
a
stellar
device
that
can
offer
over
8
hours
of
screen-on
time.
With
heavy
usage
that
included
a
couple
of
hours
of
gaming
and
streaming
and
a
good
30-40
minutes
of
camera
use
for
photos
and
videos,
the
phone
easily
lasted
over
a
day
with
almost
25
percent
of
battery
still
left.

In
multiple
tests
we
did
on
the
review
unit,
the
16
Pro
Max
easily
did
over
8
hours
of
active
screen
on
time,
and
the
max
we
got
was
8
hours
and
30
minutes
with
13
percent
juice
left.
Of
course,
you
can
derive
more
battery
backup
if
you
turn
off
the
always-on
display
and
reduce
camera
use.
On
days
with
moderate
use,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
gave
us
nearly
two
full
days
of
battery
life.

Apple
has
really
pushed
the
envelope
when
it
comes
to
battery
performance,
which
is
something
that
will
be
tough
for
competition
to
match.

However,
wired
charging
speed
remains
the
Achilles
heel
of
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max.
In
an
era
where
phones
offer
full
charging
within
30
minutes,
the
16
Pro
Max
reached
55%
charge
in
35

A
full

with
a
20W

takes
about
100
minutes
and,
at
times,
can
take
up
to
120
minutes,
depending
on
multiple
factors.

iPhone

Verdict

Who
should
buy
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max?
The
answer
is
simple

for
iPhone
users
who
are
not
already
using
the
iPhone
15
Pro
Max.
Get
it,
of
course,
if
your
budget
allows.
For
those
who
still
prefer
an
under
Rs.
1
lakh
phone
and
are
okay
with
compromising
on
some
aspects,
there’s
the
base
iPhone
16
with
mostly
all
the
goodies
this
year
minus
a
120Hz
refresh
rate
display
and
a
third
telephoto
camera.
The
best
thing
is
that
this
is
a
sale
season,
and
you
can
grab
some
great
deals
if
you
prioritise
switching
to
an
iPhone,
as

discounts
are
available
across
models
in
both
online
and
offline
stores
.

iphone 16 pro max review12 camera ui iPhone 16 Pro Max

Camera
Control
is
one
of
the
highlights
of
the
new
16-series

Compared
to
the

14
Pro

and

13
Pro

series,
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
packs
some
of
the
biggest
upgrades,
while
the
15
Pro
Max
now
looks
underrated.
It
has
the
biggest
display
on
an
iPhone
yet.
In
my
testing,
the
16
Pro
Max
delivered
unprecedented
battery
performance,
and
of
course,
this
is
a
Pro
device,
so
even
heavy-duty
users
can
go
for
this.
The
display
is
incredible,
and
the
only
downside
is
the
slow
wired
charging,
which
seems
to
be
taking
forever
to
be
upgraded.

One
big
bummer
is
that
there
are
no
Apple
Intelligence
(read,
stable)
features
on
the
16
Pro
Max,
which
certainly
makes
it
look
like
not
a
great
deal
at
the
moment.
But
remember,
these
phones
are
built
from
scratch
to
work
with
Apple
Intelligence,
so
an
iOS
update
with
all
the
goodies
may
drop
in
a
few
weeks.

The
two
biggest
alternatives
to
the
iPhone
16
Pro
Max
are
the
iPhone
15
Pro
Max
(Review),
retailing
at
all-time
low
prices
during
the
festive
sales
in
India.
And,
the
second
is
the
Samsung
Galaxy
S24
Ultra
(Review),
the
closest
flagship
that
can
take
on
the
16
Pro
Max.

Asus ProArt PZ13 Review: For the Creative Nomad

While
a
tablet
is
a
good
tool
for
a
creative
professional,
it
doesn’t
offer
the
versatility
of
a
full-blown
laptop.
You
could
opt
for
a
2-in-1
laptop,
but
there
aren’t
a
lot
of
options
out
there
that
won’t
blow
a
hole
in
your
pocket.
Until
now,
that
is.
The
new

Asus
ProArt
PZ13

is
a
competitively
priced
2-in-1
that
features
the
new
Snapdragon
X
Plus
chipset
and
promises
to
deliver
great
performance
with
even
better
battery
life.
It’s
a
good
alternative
to
the
Microsoft
Surface
Pro,
especially
if
you
want
something
cheaper.

The
ProArt
PZ13
also
offers
a
lot
more
at
a
starting
price
of
Rs.
1,04,990.
You
get
a
brilliant
display,
good
form
factor,
lightweight
design,
and
useful
accessories.
Should
this
be
your
new
2-in-1
laptop?
Find
out
below.

Asus
ProArt

Design:

  • Dimensions

    202.9

  • Weight

    (without
    keyboard),
    1.2kg
    (with
    keyboard)
  • Colours

    Nano
    Black

Asus
has
gone
with
an
industrial
look
for
the
ProArt
PZ13,
which
feels
tough
and
premium.
It
gets
an
aluminium
unibody
with
chamfered
edges
and
a
thickness
of
9mm.
The
bevel
around
the
screen
has
a
pattern
that’s
supposed
to
echo
‘pro
camera
design’,
and
a
few
other
elements
make
the
otherwise
bland
design
stand
out.
It
would’ve
been
nice
if
Asus
included
a
built-in
kickstand
on
the
rear
panel.
Instead,
you
get
a
separate
case,
which
adds
to
the
thickness
of
the
tablet.

asus proart pz13 review2 AsusProArtPZ13 Asus

The
tablet
doesn’t
attract
a
lot
of
fingerprints

The
ProArt
PZ13
also
offers
an
IP52
rating
and
claims
to
have
passed
several
MIL-STD-810H
tests.
The
rear
panel
also
houses
a
small
slit
that
acts
as
the
air
intake
and
a
flush-mounted
camera.
Surprisingly,
it
doesn’t
attract
a
lot
of
fingerprints
or
smudges.

In
terms
of
ports,
the
Windows
tablet
features
a
power
button
on
the
top
edge
and
exhaust
vents
for
the
single
fan.
The
right
edge
houses
the
volume
buttons,
whereas
the
left
has
one
exposed
USB
Type-C
port,
a
rubber
flap
that
hides
another
USB
Type-C
port,
and
a
full-size
SD
card
slot.

covers
one
of
the
USB

A
magnetic

is
at
the

The
tablet
offers
dual
speakers
placed
on
either
side.

  • Refresh
    rate

    60Hz

The
touch
display
on
the
ProArt
PZ13
is
bright
and
colourful.
It’s
also
quite
sharp
as
the
13-inch
OLED
panel
delivers
a
2,880
x
1,800
pixels
resolution,
0.2ms
response
time,
and
a
16:10
aspect
ratio,
which
is
great
for
productivity
users
and
content
creators.
However,
it
only
offers
a
maximum
refresh
rate
of
60Hz.
The
display
offers
good
brightness
indoors,
but
the
glossy
coating
makes
it
hard
to
use
outside
under
direct
sunlight.
To
keep
the
panel
scratch-free,
Asus
has
offered
Gorilla
Glass
NBT
for
protection.

asus proart pz13 review5 AsusProArtPZ13 Asus

The
OLED
touch
displays
offer
nice
colours
and
have
great
viewing
angles

When
it
comes
to
colours
and
other
enhancements,
the
display
offers
Dolby
Vision,
HDR,
and
Pantone
validation
and
covers
a
100
percent
DCI-P3
colour
gamut.
Watching
content
was
a
nice
experience
on
the
screen,
but
photos
can
be
a
bit
oversaturated
in
the
standard
colour
profile.
It’s
best
to
use
a
DCI-P3
colour
profile
if
you
want
more
accurate
colours
or
the
sRGB
profile
for
photo/video
editing.
It
is
to
be
noted
that
to
gain
access
to
the
available
colour
profiles,
you’ll
first
need
to
use
them
on
the
ProArt
Creator
Hub
app.

Viewing
angles
and
touch
response
were
also
quite
good
on
the
OLED
panel.
Talking
about
touch
response,
the
display
also
supports
pen
input
and
you
can
use
the
Asus
Pen
2.0
to
sketch,
write,
and
more.

You
get
a
detachable
keyboard
in
the
box.
It
connects
to
the
chassis
using
pogo
pin
connectors
and
strong
magnets.
I
found
the
keyboard
case
quality
to
be
good.
The
keys
are
backlit
with
adequate
illumination
in
the
dark
and
offer
about
1.35mm
of
travel.
The
typing
experience
is
good,
and
the
whole
thing
feels
very
stable
despite
being
slim.
There’s
also
a
copilot
key
and
a
full
row
of
function
keys.

asus proart pz13 review7 AsusProArtPZ13 Asus

The
detachable
keyboard
offers

of

a
clicky
touchpad

Centered
below
the
keyboard
is
a
spacious
touchpad.
It
has
a
smooth
surface,
supports
multi-touch
gestures,
and
the
click
mechanism
functions
effectively.
I
had
no
issues
using
the
touchpad
for
work
and
navigation.

The
ProArt
PZ13
features
two
side-facing
stereo
speakers
that
support
Dolby
Atmos.
While
they
provide
decent
audio
quality
for
a
tablet,
they
may
not
be
ideal
for
a
laptop.
The
speakers
deliver
a
full
and
undistorted
sound
even
at
maximum
volume.
However,
their
loudness
is
somewhat
limited,
and
you
may
inadvertently
cover
them
while
holding
the
tablet.

Both

perform
well
in
daylight

Asus
has
provided
two
cameras
on
the
ProArt
PZ13,
which
are
pretty
good.
The
5-megapixel
front-facing
camera
does
well
in
daylight
conditions
and
produces
somewhat
noisy
video
in
lowlight
conditions.
It
supports
Windows
Hello
facial
recognition
and
comes
with
IR
sensors
as
well.
You
also
get
a
3-microphone
array
for
clear
voice
recording.
There’s
also
a
13-megapixel
rear
camera,
but
I’m
not
sure
what
it’s
for.
It
does
record
1080p
video
and
takes
decent
photos
in
daylight
conditions.

there
are
quite
a
few
extras
on
the

apart
from
your
standard

which
include
some
AI
features
such
as
Copilot,

in

and
Automatic

Eventually,
you’ll
also
get
access
to
the
controversial
Windows

feature,
but
it’s
not
here
yet.

in

The

the

a
tool
for

all
your
exported

called
StoryCube,
and
the
ProArt

that
lets
you
optimise
the
tablet
the
way
you
want.
You
can
choose
the
display
profile,
control
fan
speed,
and
change
operating
profiles.
The
Asus

app
is
also
available
on
the
tablet,
which
lets
you
manage
various
aspects
of
the
touch
display.

  • GPU

    Adreno
    X1-45

Alright,
let’s
talk
about
performance.
The
ProArt
PZ13
comes
with
a
lower-tier
Snapdragon
X
Plus
chipset,
which
is
somewhat
noticeable
when
running
heavy
apps
or
performing
resource-intensive
tasks.
The
tablet
also
starts
to
heat
up
when
opening
multiple
tabs
on
Chrome
or
streaming
videos
on
Netflix,
YouTube
and
Prime
Video.
You
will
notice
some
performance
lag
if
you
stress
the
chipset.
Compared
to
the
X
Elite
chipset,
there
is
a
drop
in
power
output
when
it
comes
to
multi-core
usage.
That’s
expected
since
the
X
Plus
has
an
octa-core
CPU,
whereas
the
X
Elite
features
12
cores.
However,
there’s
not
much
difference
when
it
comes
to
AI
computing.

asus proart pz13 review4 AsusProArtPZ13 Asus

The
Snapdragon
X
Plus
is
an
octa-core
CPU

I
ran
a
couple
of
synthetic
benchmarks
on
the
PZ13
to
see
how
it
performed
compared
to
a
laptop
with
a
Snapdragon
X
Elite
CPU.
As
expected,
the
multi-core
scores
on
Geekbench,
Cinebench
and
3DMark
are
lower,
but
the
AI
performance
is
pretty
similar.
All
the
benchmarks
were
run
in
the
Performance
profile.

You
can

the

for
most
daily
tasks,
such
as
browsing
the
web,
creating
artwork
using
the
stylus,
watching
content,
and
a
lot
more
without
having
to
face
any
major
hiccups.
I
found
most
apps
to
be
compatible
with
ARM;
if
something
doesn’t
run,
you
can
always
run
it
in
emulated
mode.
However,
during
my
testing,
I
did
not
encounter
such
compatibility
issues,
at
least
with
the
apps
I
used.

Gaming
is
a
no-go
on
the
tablet
unless
you’re
playing
some
old-school
titles.
I
tried
to
run
a
couple
of
Xbox
Game
Pass
titles,
and
the
games
didn’t
even
install.
The
tablet
did
not
perform
well
in
the
3DMark
Night
Raid
and
Steel
Nomad
Light
GPU
benchmarks.

In
terms
of
connectivity,
the
tablet
offers
tri-band
WiFi
7
(where
supported)
and
Bluetooth
5.4.
During
the
review
period,
both
worked
well.

While
the
Snapdragon

chipset
may
not
offer
top-notch
performance,
it
does
offer
excellent
efficiency.
The
battery
life
on
the
ProArt
PZ13
is
very
good,
and
you
can
go
days
without
having
to
charge
it
up
when
you’re
using
it
for
a
couple
of
hours
in
a
day.
I
could
easily
get
a
full
day’s
work
done
with
the
keyboard
connected.
The
large
70Wh
battery
also
helps
here.

asus proart pz13 review11 AsusProArtPZ13 Asus

The
tablet
can
go

without
a

if
used
only
for
a

Fast

is
also
available
thanks
to
the

It
took
about
1
hour
and
40
minutes
to
fully

the

from

percent.

Asus
ProArt
PZ13
Verdict

The
Asus
ProArt
PZ13
is
a
competitively
priced
2-in-1
that
offers
a
good
display,
excellent
battery
life,
decent
performance,
and
portability.
The
detachable
keyboard
and
the
extra
kickstand
cover
make
it
as
thick
as
a
traditional
laptop,
but
you
can
use
it
as
a
tablet
with
the
stylus.
It’s
also
cheaper
than
other
Snapdragon-powered
2-in-1s
on
the
market.

If
you
aren’t
looking
to
spend
major
cash
and
are
on
the
lookout
for
a
good
value-for-money
2-in-1
with
a
great
display
and
long-lasting
battery
life
for
your
travels,
you
should
probably
consider
the
Asus
ProArt
PZ13.

According
to
Final
Fantasy
16
producer
and
industry
legend
Naoki
Yoshida,
popularly
knowns
as
Yoshi-P,
Square
Enix
wants
to
release
an
Xbox
port
for
FFXVI,
but
the
company
can’t
yet
confirm
a
timeline
for
the
same.

“Of
course
we
did
announce
the
PC
version
of
the
game,
so
looking
towards
the
Xbox
version,
we
do
want
to
release
it
on
Xbox,”
Yoshida
said
in
a
Video
Games

interview

published
last
week.
“But
when
it
comes
to
the
specifics
such
as
when
the
game
would
be
available
and
such,
we
are
not
in
a
position
to
be
able
to
share
anything,”
he
added.

The
producer,
however,
asked
Xbox
players
to
not
give
up
hope,
saying
that
Square
Enix
very
much
wanted
the
game
to
be
ported
to
Xbox.
“But
of
course,
I
want
to
say
that
it’s
not
as
if
there’s
zero
hope,
and
we
very
much
do
want
to
achieve
that.
So
players
should
not
give
up
in
terms
of
their
hopes.”

Neither
Square
Enix
not

Microsoft

have
yet
confirmed
an
Xbox
port
of
Final
Fantasy
16.

Final
Fantasy
16
first
launched
on
the
PS5
on
June
22,
2023.
The
game
recently
made
the
jump
to
PC,
launching
on

Steam

and

Epic
Games
Store

on
September
17.
A
Complete
Edition,
that
bundles
Echoes
of
the
Fallen
and
The
Rising
Tide
expansions
with
the
main
game,
was
also
recently
launched
on
the
PS5.

Square
Enix
has
launched
its
recent
Final
Fantasy
games
exclusively
on
the
PS5,
a
strategy
that
has
ended
up
hurting
sales.
Earlier
this
year,
the
publisher
said
in
an
earnings
report
that
sales
of
recent
big-budget
games
were

disappointing
.
According
to
company
CEO
Takashi
Kiryu,
sales
of
Final
Fantasy
VII
Rebirth,
Final
Fantasy
XVI
and
Foamstars

all
PlayStation
exclusives

fell
short
of
expectations
in
terms
of
both
revenue
and
profit.

As
a
result,
Square
Enix
has
since
undergone
considerable
restructuring
and
is
moving
away
from
its
practice
of
releasing
its
major
titles
first
on

PlayStation
.
According
to
Kiryu,
going
forward,
big
releases
will
be
multi-platform
launches,
available
across
PlayStation,
Nintendo
Switch,
Xbox
and
PC.
