Vivo V50 Design, Key Features Leaked Ahead of Expected India Launch

Vivo V50 design, key features, and other details have surfaced online. The handset is said to launch soon in India. It’s predecessor, the Vivo V40, was unveiled in India in August 2024. The V50 has also recently been spotted on several certification sites. As per previous reports, the phone could be a rebadged version of the Vivo S20, which was introduced in China in November 2024. Ahead of anything official, a leak by a tipster has shown the alleged design, colours, and features of the Vivo V50.

Vivo V50 Design, Key Features (Expected)

According to an X post by tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), the Vivo V50 will come with a quad-curved display, like the flagship Vivo X200 Pro handset. He added that the rumoured smartphone is expected to be the “slimmest phone in the segment” with a 6,000mAh battery. However, the tipster did not hint at the expected price segment of the model.

In the attached image, the Vivo V50 was reportedly seen in a Rose Red colourway. The design appeared to be similar to that of the Chinese variant of the Vivo S20. Two camera sensors and a ring-like LED flash unit appear within the pill-shaped rear camera module in the top left corner of the panel. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the handset.

The tipster added that the rumoured Vivo V50 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and a 50-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls. These features are similar to that of the Vivo S20 handset. However, instead of the tipped 6,000mAh battery for the Vivo V50, the Chinese Vivo S20 model carries a 6,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

An earlier report claimed that the Vivo V50 could launch in India by the third week of February, that is, by February 18. The phone is expected to arrive in RAM and storage configurations of 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. It is tipped to be offered in blue, grey, rose and red colour options. A Vivo V50 Pro variant is expected to launch in the country later.

Nothing Tipped to Launch Three Smartphones Before Unveiling Flagship Phone 3 This Year

Nothing Phone 3 is reported to be in development as the company’s next flagship smartphone and the successor to the Phone 2. However, before it sees the light of day, the British original equipment manufacturer (OEM) could launch as many as three smartphones, according to claims by a tipster. The company is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone on March 4 which is speculated to be the purported Nothing Phone 3a and the tipster suggests that it could kick off the launch blitz.

Launch of Nothing Smartphones

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) claims that Nothing has three smartphones which are scheduled to launch ahead of the Nothing Phone 3. This includes a new phone which is confirmed to debut on March 4. Thus, people who were waiting for the flagship launch might have to “wait a little longer”.

While the company has only shared teasers without revealing the moniker, it could very well be the successor to the Nothing Phone 2a.

Meanwhile, two other smartphones are also said to be in line for debut. An internal email allegedly sent by CEO Carl Pei earlier this month references not only the Nothing Phone 3 in the company’s 2025 roadmap, but also a “landmark” launch. This indicates a new smartphone could become part of the company’s lineup this year.

Notably, Nothing Phone 2a was launched in March 2024 and was followed up by the Phone 2a Plus in August. The company could follow a similar trend with its successor that is slated to debut next week, possibly at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025.

Nothing Phone 3a Leaks

Nothing’s upcoming launch event has the tagline “Power in Perspective”. The phone is teased to have a Glyph interface around the two camera rings, which are stacked vertically at the back. This not only suggests that the phone will come with the company’s signature design language, but also a redesigned rear camera setup.

Nothing has previously stated that it plans to offer breakthrough innovations in terms of the user interface. It is said to be the company’s first step towards offering an AI-powered platform.

A recent report claimed that two handsets were recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting an imminent launch in the country. Samsung has set a new standard by introducing three new revolutionary devices in its flagship Galaxy S lineup in India. The brand new Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones are the company’s most advanced, true AI companion devices till date. Built on the concept of Galaxy AI from last year, the new Galaxy S25 series are more natural, intuitive, and context-aware. These new smartphones will help users interact with their devices more naturally and effortlessly, while ensuring privacy.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones come with One UI 7, which is built for more personalized mobile experiences unlike any other premium smartphone. Galaxy S25 series smartphones use powerful AI agents with multimodal capabilities to enable a more natural interaction be it text, speech, or images.

A True AI Companion Is Finally Here: Transforming Digital Interactions

The Galaxy S25 series introduces a massive shift in how we interact with technology through its multimodal AI agents. These intelligent systems can comprehend and process text, speech, and images, creating a truly natural interaction experience. Imagine planning a complex vacation by simply conversing with your device – searching for destinations, comparing flight prices, checking hotel availability, and scheduling events across multiple apps with a single command.

Multimodal AI enables the smartphones to analyse and process different types of data together. For example: Suppose you’re watching a YouTube video, and are curious about the background music – you can simply find out which song is playing by using a voice command.

Google Gemini integration takes artificial intelligence further. Users can now activate advanced AI assistance by pressing the side button, enabling seamless interactions across Samsung, Google, and third-party applications. The Live Translate feature breaks language barriers by supporting real-time translation across 20 languages in both native and VOIP calls, making global communication effortless.

One of the most notable new features is Google Gemini’s ability to work across apps. At Unpacked 2025, Samsung had announced that Gemini will now be supported by Samsung’s apps including Calendar, Clock, Notes, and Reminder apps. Gemini integration will also work with Spotify, and Google’s suite of apps.

Productivity has received a significant boost with features like Google Gemini Live, which provides step-by-step guidance on diverse tasks ranging from cooking complex recipes to performing device repairs. The homework help functionality enables students to easily solve complex problems by simply circling content on their screen, transforming the smartphone into an intelligent learning companion.

Samsung has ensured that privacy remains paramount. The Personal Data Engine analyzes user data exclusively on-device, ensuring personalized experiences without compromising sensitive information. Advanced security measures like post-quantum cryptography and Knox Vault protection safeguard user data against emerging digital threats.

Cameras: Pro-Grade Smartphone Photography Redefined

The camera system, particularly in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, represents a technological marvel that will transform smartphone photography. The 200-megapixel wide camera sensor delivers unprecedented image clarity, complemented by dual telephoto cameras offering 5x and 3x optical zoom capabilities. The 10-bit HDR recording provides four times richer colour expression compared to traditional 8-bit systems.

AI-powered smartphone photography features in the new Galaxy S25 series smartphones will elevate content creation to pro levels. The Audio Eraser feature allows users to remove unwanted background noise from videos, creating studio-quality recordings. Portrait Studio enables instant transformation of photographs into artistic AI-generated illustrations. Auto Trim intelligently creates short video reels by extracting key scenes, while My Filter lets users generate personalized, film-like effects with a single tap.

Low-light photography has received significant improvements through advanced motion analysis and noise reduction techniques. Whether capturing a dimly lit concert or a nighttime landscape, the Galaxy S25 series ensures exceptional image quality. The Pro Visual Engine combines hardware specifications with cutting-edge AI enhancements, delivering photographic and video outputs that were previously achievable only with professional equipment.

Battery That Powers Intelligent Experiences

Samsung has reimagined mobile power management by creating battery solutions that are not just about capacity, but intelligent energy optimization. The Galaxy S25 features a 4,000 mAh battery, perfect for users seeking a compact device with reliable performance. Its 25W charging ensures quick top-ups for users with dynamic lifestyles. The Galaxy S25+ steps up with a 4,900 mAh battery and 45W charging, offering extended usage for professionals and multitaskers who demand more from their devices.

The pinnacle of battery technology resides in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, boasting a 5,000 mAh battery that enables day-long heavy usage for power users. Samsung’s battery innovation extends far beyond mere capacity. By implementing a groundbreaking recycling system, these devices now use batteries with 50 percent recycled cobalt, sourced from previous Galaxy devices and manufacturing processes. This approach not only ensures exceptional battery performance but also demonstrates a significant commitment to sustainable technology.

The custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor plays a crucial role in battery efficiency. The powerful processor is capable of performing the most intensive tasks while drawing minimal power. An advanced cooling system featuring a 40 percent larger vapor chamber ensures that intensive tasks like gaming or AI processing don’t drain the battery rapidly, maintaining optimal performance throughout the day.

Tata Electronics Acquires 60 Percent Stake in iPhone Maker Pegatron Technology India

Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd (TEPL) on Friday announced the acquisition of a controlling 60 per cent stake in Taiwanese contract manufacturer Pegatron’s India unit, cementing its position as a key player in the Indian electronics manufacturing sector.

The financial details of the transactions were not disclosed.

Pegatron India is a subsidiary of Taiwanese Pegatron Corporation, engaged in the provision of contract-based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to global giants like Apple.

The latest deal is expected to strengthen Tata’s position as an Apple supplier and bolster its iPhone manufacturing plans.

Announcing the acquisition of a 60 per cent stake, Tata Electronics said Pegatron Technology India will undergo rebranding to reflect its new ownership structure and business direction while continuing to deliver high-quality electronics manufacturing services.

The latest move by the electronics arm of the salt-to-software conglomerate follows its acquisition of Wistron’s India operations (based in Narsapura, Karnataka) less than a year ago in March 2024.

In fact, in his New Year message to employees, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran asserted that with global supply chains continuing to shift in India’s favour as the world’s largest businesses strike a new balance between resilience and efficiency, manufacturing has the potential to transform the country’s economy.

Chandrasekaran termed it as “a new manufacturing golden age for India”.

On Friday, Tata Electronics CEO and MD Randhir Thakur said the acquisition of a majority stake in Pegatron Technology India fits into Tata Electronics’ strategy of growing its manufacturing footprint.

“We look forward to a new era of AI, digital, and technology-led manufacturing as we bring up these new facilities and expand our operations in India,” Thakur said.

In addition to TEPL acquiring a majority stake in Pegatron Technology India, the two companies will work on integrating their teams to work seamlessly.

Tata Group has been scripting an aggressive blueprint for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

Tata Electronics is building India’s first Fab in Dholera, Gujarat, with a total investment of Rs 91,000 crore. In addition, another Rs 27,000 crore will be invested in a greenfield facility in Jagiroad, Assam, for the assembly and testing of semiconductor chips. Together, these facilities will produce semiconductor chips for applications across automotive, mobile devices, artificial intelligence (AI), and other key segments to serve customers globally.

Tata Group will create 5 lakh manufacturing jobs in the next five years across sectors such as semiconductor, electric vehicles, battery and related industries, Chandrasekaran said in October last year.

Tata Sons’ top honcho had asserted that India cannot achieve the goals of being a developed nation if the country cannot create manufacturing jobs.

Nothing Teases Upcoming Smartphone With Dual Rear Cameras, Transparent Design

Nothing is rumoured to launch multiple new smartphones including a flagship device in the coming months as a follow up to the Nothing Phone 2. As part of its plans, the UK-based original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has yet again teased an upcoming product via its social media handle which may very well be its next smartphone. It appears to have a dual rear camera unit and a transparent design, the latter of which has become synonymous with the company in recent years.

Nothing Smartphone Teased

Through several posts on X (formerly Twitter), Nothing shared multiple design sketches of what appears to be a smartphone along with the text “WIP” which might be an acronym for work in progress. The first sketch partially showcases a phone with a transparent back panel with screws in place.

An accompanying sketch has two circles placed in a horizontal pill-shaped like structure, similar to the camera unit of the Nothing Phone 2a models. This suggests that this component could be the rear cameras of the purported phone. However, it does not show the entire rear cover, so it remains unknown if the device would get the company’s signature Glyph interface.

This development comes a day after the company rolled out another teaser of an upcoming product using an image of the Arcanine Pokémon. While it did not contain any description, it is speculated to be a teaser for the Nothing Phone 3, corroborating previous reports that the handset may bear the codename Arcanine.

A recently leaked email allegedly sent by Nothing CEO Carl Pei mentioned Nothing’s plans for 2025, which includes a “landmark” launch. Alongside, it also confirmed the moniker of the company’s upcoming flagship phone and it will indeed be known as the Nothing Phone 3. The purported device is tipped to launch in Q1 2025 as a successor to the Nothing Phone 2. The phone is said to be the first step towards offering an AI-powered platform and it would be possible through breakthrough innovations in terms of the user interface.

What Makes the Reno Series Special?

The Reno Series is more than just a line of smartphones. It’s OPPO’s plan to make high-tech gadgets available for everyone. Reno shows OPPO’s dedication to ‘AI for All’ by introducing new features that not only make your phone better but also make your life better. The Reno Series has set new standards in photography, performance, and user experience within its price segment, with each new lineup.

The Reno is an extension of your life. It allows you to live in the moment, fully engaging with experiences rather than simply capturing them. No matter if you’re taking a picture of a precious smile with unmatched clarity or editing photos with AI, Reno makes sure you never miss the best parts of life.

Take the Reno12 series. Launched in July 2024, it introduced tools like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio and AI Recording Summary. These tools let users easily edit photos and videos, removing unwanted objects and summarising content in seconds. These weren’t just cool features; they made the phone genuinely useful in everyday life. As per OPPO, its AI Eraser tool has a daily usage frequency of 15 times globally. The success of the Reno12 series is one reason why OPPO is now one of India’s fastest-growing smartphone brands, according to IDC.

The Reno13 Series builds on this foundation and takes it to the next level. With its flagship-level AI-powered camera system, long-lasting performance, and seamless productivity features, the Reno13 elevates your everyday experiences.

A Camera That Captures Life As It Happens

Let’s face it, your phone’s camera is probably one of the most-used features. OPPO knows this, which is why the Reno13 Series focuses so heavily on photography. Giving users tools that help them tell stories is more important than megapixels or great specs.

The Reno13 Series is full of AI tools that make every picture look great. Whether you’re dealing with blur, poor lighting, or unwanted distractions, this device has you covered. AI Motion and AI Unblur ensure moving subjects are always captured clearly, while AI Clarity Enhancer brings out vivid details in every shot.

When editing photos, AI Eraser 2.0 and AI Reflection Remover make it easy to clean them up by getting rid of photobombs and irritating reflections. Portrait lovers will appreciate AI Portrait and AI Clear Face, which deliver stunning results regardless of lighting.

The Reno13 series also has AI Livephoto and AI ReImage. AI Livephoto adds movement to still images, and AI ReImage is great at fixing or magically improving old photos. All of these features work together to make sure that your photos look beautiful.

Night photography, often a weak point for many smartphones, is another area where the Reno13 series excels. Its AI Night Portrait feature brings out  great details and vibrant colours, even in low-light conditions. And for those who love underwater photography, the Reno13 series’s durability features allow you to capture stunning shots even underwater.

Made for Everyday Life

When it comes to durability, OPPO has gone all out with the Reno13 Series. Let’s start with the materials: the segments first aerospace-grade aluminium frame and one-piece sculpted glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and back don’t just look and feel premium, they’re built to last. Whether it’s accidental drops or unexpected spills, this phone is ready for all. With IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, the Reno13 series can handle dust and water like a pro.

But durability doesn’t mean you will have to sacrifice with style. The Reno13 Series is available in beautiful colours like Luminous Blue, Ivory White, Mist Lavender, and Graphite Grey. These aren’t just colours, they’re statements. Combined with its ultra-slim profile and curved edges, the Reno13 series feels as good in your hand as it looks.

Display Reno13 Pro infi

Another great thing about it is the screen, which you will love. The Reno13 series 120Hz Infinite View Display with four-sided micro-

curves and an impressive 93.8% screen-to-body ratio with almost no bezels makes watching videos and playing games feel more real. OPPO has also added features like low blue light solution certified by BOE SGS and

Seamless Pro’s Eye Protection Certificate ensures comfortable viewing even if you have to look at for long periods of time.

Dual Chip All Rounder 16x9 chip

Performance That Keeps Up With Your Life

A phone should do more than just look good. With its custom MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, the Reno13 Series does a good job of this. There’s no problem with the Reno13 series when you’re using a lot of apps at once, streaming your favourite shows, or playing games giving you a smooth lag free user experience.

The Reno13 series’ batteries also last a long time. The Pro model has a 5800mAh battery, while the non-pro model has a 5600mAh battery. Also, OPPO’s Battery Health Engine keeps these batteries healthy so they don’t lose much of their power over time. That’s a big deal for people who are sick of getting a new phone every two or three years.

People who like to play games will really like what the Reno13 series has to offer. The phone’s SignalBoost X1 ensures that it boosts Wi-Fi performance in weak signal areas and AI HyperBoost features make sure that even 8 hours of uninterrupted gaming session run smoothly and without lag.

Tools That Make Daily Life Easier

Phones aren’t just for fun, they can also help you get things done. That’s why OPPO put a lot of features in the Reno13 Series that are meant to make your life easier. Tools like AI Summary and Extract Chart are in the OPPO Documents app and AI productivity tools like Screen Translator, AI Writer, and AI Reply are great for students, professionals, and anyone else who needs to stay organised.

Another thing that makes the Reno13 series stand out is that it can share files. With the new Tap to Share feature, Livephotos can be sent easily between Android and iOS devices. It’s quick, simple, and very helpful.

Getting Dreams and Affordability Together

One of the best things about the Reno13 Series is how well it mixes high-end functions with ease of use. You don’t have to pay flagship prices for this phone, but it has flagship-level features like a great camera, top-notch speed, and a beautiful design.

With this way, the goal is not only to sell phones, but also to make technology available to everyone. Great features don’t have to be found only on expensive phones, as shown by the Reno13 Series from OPPO.

It feels like that journey has been enhanced with the Reno Series. It’s more than just a phone, it’s a way to keep in touch, take pictures, and get things done and enhance productivity. That’s what OPPO stands for, and it’s also a promise of good things to come.

According to an X post by Jukanlosreve (@Jukanlosreve) that cites a video from The Elec (in Korean), Samsung is expected to begin component production for its triple folding smartphone in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, that is between April and June. The company is expected to launch the rumoured handset in Q3 2025, which means it could arrive before September.

Samsung is tipped to produce 200,000 units of triple-folding smartphones this year. When unfolded, the handset is expected to have a main display measuring between 9.9 and 10 inches. The Elec claimed in its video report that when folded, the tri-fold model will likely measure 15mm in thickness.

Earlier reports suggested that unlike the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, which uses an S-shaped design where the screen folds both in and out, the Samsung tri-fold smartphone is expected to feature a ‘G-type’ triple-folding display. This design is said to offer more protection, where the display is expected to fold into three parts, covering the left and right sides in the middle.

According to the latest leak, Samsung will likely launch four foldable smartphones in 2025, including the purported triple folding model, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE. The Fan Edition version of the Flip variant is expected to be a lower-cost flip-style foldable. The company is expected to remove the S-Pen digitiser from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, possibly in an attempt to make the handset thinner. This could involve the inclusion of an S Pen that requires charging.
