Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Reportedly Get LOG Video Recording With Latest One UI 7 Beta Update

Samsung recently rolled out the latest One UI 7 Beta update for the Galaxy S24 series and it brings a new way to record videos, as per a report. The new iteration of the Android 15-based operating system (OS) is said to enable support for capturing LOG (logarithmic footage) videos on the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. As per the South Korean technology conglomerate, this allows users to record a wider dynamic range where the luminance of both very dark and very bright areas is captured by the camera sensor.

Additionally, the One UI 7 Beta 5 update is also said to fixe issues related to Now Bar, lock screen, Notification History, and more.

Support for LOG on Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

According to a SammyFans report, all three Galaxy S24 series models — the base model, Plus variant, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, now get support for LOG video capture with the latest One UI 7 Beta 5 update. This feature was first reported in the One UI 7 Beta 4 update but was only said to be available on the Ultra model from last year.

Samsung says this video recording format retains more image data compared to standard filming, allowing greater flexibility during post-production. It is claimed to reduce the production time while also enabling improved options for controlling colours, shadows, highlights, colour tones, and other image data. Samsung LOG offers a 10-bit HEVC codec which is said to enable better accessibility to codec compatibility and storage.

While the company introduced LOG video capture with the Galaxy S25 series in January, it is also rolling out support for older devices, starting with the Galaxy S24 lineup following the release of One UI 7 Beta 5.

Alongside this new feature, the update is reported to contain fixes for several reported issues. Samsung says it fixes an intermittent display error of the Now Bar controller. It also rectifies problems which caused icons to appear small on the Widget Setting screen, operation failure of the Gallery Edit button, and partial Font/Image overlap issues.

Further, the update is reported to improve media playback to display as a real-time notification, Quick action menu spacing, a Notification History operation error fix, along with other system improvements.

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ is said to see a global launch this week, according to a report. The handset’s complete design is seen in leaked live images. As per the new report, the phone will offer an “ArmorAlloy” build, a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 100x zoom, audio tuning by JBL, and One Tap Infinix AI. The phone will reportedly be launched at the Infinix AI∞ Beta event alongside the company’s purported true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds and a smart ring on March 20.

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ Design, Features

The folks over at GSMArena got their hands on live images of the Infinix Note 50 Pro+ 5G. The phone’s octagonal rear camera module is said to be inspired by “power and precision of high-end car intakes, the light play of diamond cutting, and Harry Winston jewellery”. In terms of design, the Infinix Note 50 Pro+ is said to have an “ArmorAlloy” build with a flat frame. It is said to undergo the same HyperCasting manufacturing process as the Note 50 Pro 4G. The phone’s right spine houses the power button while the volume rockers are placed on the left side.

The bottom of the handset houses the SIM tray, USB Type-C port for charging, and a “Sound by JBL” logo which confirms its audio tuning. Its opposite side is seen with the secondary microphone, an infrared (IR) blaster, and another speaker grille. Another standout feature of the Infinix handset will be a One-Tap Infinix AI which is said to simplify tasks and increase productivity.

The report suggests that the Infinix Note 50 Pro+ will be priced below $500 (roughly Rs. 43,400) in global markets. Notably, this variant was unveiled in Indonesia earlier this month although the company did not reveal its pricing at the time of launch.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, in an indication that the smartphone will be launched in the country soon. The slimmest model in the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones was first teased at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event in January, while Samsung showed off the handset at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025). The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, just like the other three models that have already launched.

A listing (via Xpertpick) on the BIS website is believed to be the Indian variant of the purported Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. While Samsung has yet to announce regional availability for the Galaxy S25 Edge, the appearance of the handset on the Indian regulator’s website is an indicator that it might launch in India soon. Gadgets 360 was able to confirm the presence of the listing on the BIS website.

According to recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch in global markets on April 16, and could go on sale a month later. It is said to be available in select markets, and could be priced around $999 (roughly Rs. 86,900).

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Specifications

The purported battery of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was recently spotted on the UK Demko website, giving us a look at its specifications. The handset is expected to pack a 3,900mAh battery. Another listing on China’s 3C website indicates the phone will support 25W charging, like the base Galaxy S25 model.

Previous reports also suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip from Qualcomm, along with 12GB of RAM. It is expected to run on One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, and offer support for Galaxy AI features.

Thanks to the showcase at MWC 2025, we know that the phone will be equipped with a dual rear camera setup. It could feature a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.65-inch display, and it is expected to be the slimmest model in the Galaxy S25 lineup, with a thickness of 5.84mm.

It’s worth taking these details with a grain of salt, as none of these specifications have been confirmed by Samsung. However, if the claims about their imminent debut next month are accurate, we can expect to learn more about these smartphones in the coming days or weeks.

Nothing Phone 3a, Phone 3a Pro Get Guaranteed Exchange Value Offer on Flipkart

Nothing Phone 3a series was launched on March 4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona comprising two models — Nothing Phone 3a Pro and the Phone 3a. Ahead of the commencement of its sales in India beginning March 11, Flipkart has announced a Guaranteed Exchange Value (GEV) programme which lets customers trade in their old smartphones for either the Nothing Phone 3a Pro or the Phone 3a and get the best value for their devices.

Guaranteed Exchange Value Programme for Nothing Phone 3a Series

According to Flipkart, its GEV programme enables customers to get the maximum possible trade-in value for their existing smartphones while offering full exchange value without deductions based on various other factors such as device condition. The process of exchanging an old smartphone for the Nothing Phone 3a series remains the same. Buyers can log in to Flipkart, select the model they wish to purchase, and check the exchange value for their old device, which is then auto-applied.

However, while Flipkart personnel carry out evaluations of the phone to be exchanged at the time of delivery, it won’t be the case with the GEV programme.

The company emphasises that the assured exchange value at the time of checkout will be the one customers will get, without any evaluations or deductions carried out at the time of delivery. To ensure a smoother exchange, the delivery personnel will run a diagnostics app to confirm the smartphone’s make and model.

However, there is an eligibility criteria. Flipkart says the GEV programme is applicable on Android smartphones launched post 2020 and iPhone models introduced after 2018.

Nothing Phone 3a, Phone 3a Pro Price in India

Nothing Phone 3a price in India starts at Rs. 24,999 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration, while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs. 26,999. The phone is also offered in a 12GB + 256GB configuration although this model is only available in select markets outside India. It has been launched in three colourways — Black, Blue, and White.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Tipped to Get a Larger Cover Display; May Ditch the Folder-Type Design

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7’s expected features and design elements have surfaced online recently. It is said to offer significant improvements over the Galaxy Z Flip 6 handset from last year. Previous leaks and reports have suggested that the phone may have a slightly larger cover display than its predecessor. However, a new report claims that the outer screen of the purported clamshell foldable will be considerably bigger. The design of the cover screen is also said to be different on the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Cover Display Size and Design (Expected)

According to an Android Headlines report, citing tipster Steve H. McCFly (@OnLeaks), the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will likely get a cover display about four inches in size. The report added that Samsung may ditch the folder-type design for the outer screen. The two rear cameras will be placed inside the display, which will extend to the edges. The new CAD renders shared by the tipster reflect this change.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also expected to have a stronger hinge and a less visible display crease than the Galaxy Z Flip 6. For optics, it may carry a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.
